WHEN: Ongoing WHAT: Change Makers trains and equips American faith-based women mentally, spiritually and physically to serve as Change Makers in the world. Participants engage in a four-month holistic training curriculum that culminates with a ten-day international trip to one of our Project Sparkle locations. CONTACT: Bardie Wolf,

WHEN: Sat at 8 am and Tues at 8:30 am WHAT:Everyone is welcome to come help with the Crossroads Community Garden located at the entrance of the North Campus. You can come and weed anytime. We have two workgroup times at Saturday 8 am, and Tuesday 8:30 am. Child care is available on Tuesday mornings if you reserve in advance.
So far this summer we have harvested 1,250 servings (that was the total from last year.) We are planting new seeds for spinach and lettuce to continue the season.

Children are often placed into a home with nothing except for the clothes they are wearing. These bags are given to children the first night they are placed into a foster home so they have something of their own. DEADLINE:Sunday, August 22 WHAT: Car Companion bags are for you to have in your car for when you come in contact with a homeless person or person in need. We will be collecting items over the summer and then making bags available in the fall. DEADLINE:Sunday, August 29 WHAT:John and Stephanie Sittner and friends have built a private elementary school (OPES) in the town of Ouelessebougou, in Mali, West Africa. This school (managed and operated by the Evangelical Church of Mali) serves some 400 Muslim children in kindergarten through grade 6. Standard curricula includes daily teaching from the Bible. Due to a change (improvement) in government policy, elementary schools in Mali are now required to provide teaching through grade 9. Therefore, it is necessary to construct 3 new classrooms to accommodate these grades. They grade 7 classroom will need to be ready for students for the start of academic year, which is October 4. Each classroom will cost $10,000 or $10 per brick. Furnishing will cost $2,000 or $60 per 2-person desk.;
