What we believe at Crossroads about:

     CHILDREN...
· Children are a gift from God and should be handled with love and care.
· Children are important to the kingdom of God, and Christ died to redeem children from sin
· Jesus has called children to follow Him and children can be equipped to serve Him and others
· Children deserve a safe, positive and age appropriate learning environment that is fun as well as educational

     PARENTS...
· God has appointed parents as the primary spiritual instructors of children and the church’s role is to assist in the cooperative effort of that task
· No one has more influence on your kids’ faith than you do. The average child spends less than 50 hours a week in church a year. Parents have 10 times the opportunities to discuss spiritual issues in one year than a church leader or Sunday school teacher does in 10 years.

     MINISTRY...
· Successful ministry is the shared responsibility of parents, children, staff, volunteers and the church body
· Ministry should be creative, innovative and in touch with the children and families of our community
· Ministry is not just “to” children, but “with” children. We learn from children as we teach them, and we can serve them to Jesus, but also serve others to Him with children. We want all who walk through our doors to meet, know and serve the Lord Jesus Christ for a lifetime.

      What does that look like:
To meet Jesus - Kids will be given clear and consistent gospel presentations in our classroom settings as well as outreach events that emphasize an understanding of sin and their need for personal salvation.

To know Jesus - Kids are taught how to grow in their relationship with God, how to deepen and apply their faith while developing godly character. It is about formation and transformation, not just information.

To serve Jesus - Kids learn to care about and for others by reaching out to those inside and outside the body of Christ.
