 Community Group FAQs

What is a Community Group?

A Community Group is a gathering of about 8-12 people who meet regularly outside of our weekend services to study God's Word and do life together. Groups commit to sharing life and faith.

When can I sign up for a group?

Our groups meet for 8-10 weeks during our fall, winter, and spring semesters. Before each semester begins we open up our signups. You can get connected to signups by attending a NEXT gathering, filling out the Community Group interest form, or connecting with us during one of our lobby events. We host our NEXT gatherings on the second Sunday of the month. We also host a lobby event right before each semester—fall, winter, and spring.

How can I sign up?

Once you've taken NEXT, filled out an interest form, or filled out the form from one of our lobby events you will receive an email with the dates of our next signups and a link to the Community Group's page. You will then be able to sign up directly from the Community Group page.

When and where do groups meet?

Our groups meet during the week at various locations and times. We have two types of groups that meet:

  1. In-Person: These groups meet either in homes, coffee shops, or other locations and meet in person.
  2. Online Only: These groups will meet exclusively online.

What do groups study?

Most of our groups do a study on the previous weekend's message. We call these groups 'Sermon-Based.' Others will choose a topical study on something such as prayer or another biblical topic. And some will choose a book of the Bible to study.

What if there's not a Community Group for what I am looking for?

This might be a sign that God is calling you to start a group! If God has placed a certain passion or calling within you, He might want you to take a step of faith and launch a group. You won't have to do this alone. The engagement team is here to support you every step of the way. Don't worry—you don't have to be a Bible scholar to lead a group! We have lots of great resources to make leading a group as easy as possible, including content to go through, tips for new leaders, and resources to help you develop and grow as a leader.

How can I start a group?

We love it when we can equip someone or a couple of people to begin their own group. If you are interested in leading or co-leading a group please reach out to .
