Prayer is an amazing reality we get to practice as individuals and as a church. Prayer is talking with God, both bringing our needs and burdens before Him and learning to listen to Him and allowing Him to bring us his comfort and presence. Prayer is a practice of trusting and growing in the love and goodness of God.
At Crossroads we have a prayer ministry made up of normal people who fully believe this and practice prayer by bringing the needs of individuals and our church before God. Below areas of prayer we provide.
Daily Prayer
There is a team of people who write and deliver a prayer devotional to your inbox every day. These prayers focus our hearts and minds on God, and remind us of God’s presence and faithfulness in our life circumstances.
Prayer Requests
We have a dedicated team of people who faithfully and confidentially pray for those who have requested prayer. Again, these are confidential, and a safe place for you to share and be prayerfully supported. If you would like to be contacted as a follow up you can note that when you submit your request.
Healing and Freedom Prayer
Life is complicated for all of us. Beyond the pressures we see every day, the Bible teaches that there is a spiritual battle around us (Ephesians 6:10-12) and a very real enemy who is striving to “steal, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10). The Healing and Freedom Prayer Ministry (HAFPM) are trained individuals who will meet with individuals privately using biblical prayer tools for physical, emotional and spiritual healing.
Prayer After Service
We believe that God is always speaking to us and encouraging us to both trust Him, and look for His presence in our joys and trials. (James 5:16) At the close of our worship gatherings, there is a team of people in the back of the room who are eager to pray with you. During our time of music at the end of the service (final 20 minutes) you will be invited to come back to receive prayer for whatever you’re carrying, or simply to receive a blessing. We are honored to meet you wherever you are and pray God’s healing, presence, and blessings into your life.
Silent/Intercessory Prayer
We believe God has invited us to join Him in bringing human flourishing to individuals, our community, and world. In this, we believe that the physical and spiritual realms are connected and that God has called us to pray His will into the physical world. (Matthew 6:10; 1 Timothy 2:1-2; Ephesians 6:18) During all of our worship gatherings we have a team of people who simply do this for the hundreds of people who are with us. They listen to God and pray for us as the Holy Spirit directs them.
Funeral Prayer
The loss of loved ones is a difficult season for everyone. We have a team of people who sit quietly at the back of all funerals hosted at Crossroads Church and pray quietly for the families and guests. They are also available after the service for one on one prayer for anything people would like support in.
