INDONESIA - Nathan Dankers is ready to be obedient to the call of Christ and follow His leading to serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship. As a pilot/mechanic, Nathan will be using airplanes to bring people into relationship with the Creator of the universe! Nathan is excited to get to use his God-given passion and skills to further the Kingdom in the hardest to reach places of the world. Nathan’s flying will support isolated communities as he transports national pastors, missionaries, and building supplies. He will also bring medical supplies to remote areas and provide medevacs.
Nathan actually grew up at Crossroads Church. Born and raised in Denver, Nathan was blessed with a family and church who modeled what it was like to follow Christ. He decided to follow Christ in high school and serve in mission aviation after hearing about MAF through a church camp. Nathan says, “I heard the words ‘missionary pilot’ and said right there, ‘That’s what I want to do.’” He enrolled in a local flight school shortly after that, and earned his pilot’s license his senior year. After a year of working and studying at a church camp, Nathan finished his required flight time and earned his aircraft maintenance license in Sidney, Nebraska. He also spent a year gaining practical experience in southeast Wyoming, flight instructing and doing aircraft maintenance, before being accepted to MAF.Nathan is so excited to see what God has in store for him through this opportunity.
