We will serve the immigrants toward Jesus! Many new students have registered for classes and we need help. Our ESL classes are held at the Crossroads Community Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
I want to serve
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 6-8pm
Volunteer teachers: To teach English to adult immigrants and refugees so they can learn English. All the materials are provided. If you want to learn how to teach ESL, we have internship experiences available.
Teacher’s Aide: Help the teacher/and the students in the classroom. The teacher’s aide can provide additional explanations as well as help the teacher prepare materials for the classroom.
Conversation Partners: Practice English with the students. Schedule determined by the partner and the student. This one-on-one practice is very successful.
Tutoring: To provide extra instruction for the students. To help the students with their homework, review classroom assignments, and apply what they have learned to life skills (i.e., job application resumes, and interviews).
Administrative support: We need help with creating flyers, designing bulletin boards, copying materials, and making mailing labels.
