DIGGING DEEPER | Practical Biblical Application
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)
Why did God only make human beings (and not animals) in the image of God?
What is it about the image of God in every human being that brings significance, purpose, and meaning to that person’s identity? What is not fluid about this identity? Why can that identity never be taken away from an “image-bearer”?
For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:13-14)
What parts of you do you find it difficult to describe as “fearfully and wonderfully made”?
What IS amazing about the unique way God has created you?
GROWING TOGETHER | Spiritual Friendship
You were ... carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. (Ephesians 2:3)
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are (1 John 3:1)
Is it biblically accurate to say that all human beings are children of God? Why or why not?
What is the spiritual difference between a child of wrath and a child of God?
