GROUP DISCUSSION
1. Open with prayer (2-5 min).
2. Share your story ...
Tell us a memory about your Mom. How would you describe your relationship with her? (7-10 min).
3. Read Isaiah 66:13
4. Discuss these questions with your group (20-45 min).

Looking back at your notes from this week’s message, was there anything you heard for the first time, stuck with you, challenged or confused you?

As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. (Isaiah 66:13)

How do nurturing Moms help us to understand more about what God is like?

Jesus used a “Mom” illustration to help us to understand his desire to comfort and protect people—but some are not willing.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! (Matthew 23:37)

Why won’t Jesus force anyone to accept God’s grace in order to be in a relationship with Him?

LIVING IN 4D
Can you see yourself being a source of nurture or healing for someone who may be wounded?

Who would that be in your life? What would that look like?

What is the one important thing you will take away from this weekend’s message or our community group discussion? Is there any challenge, difficulty or praise that you would like to share with the group for prayer?
