GROUP DISCUSSION
1. Open with prayer. (2-5 min)
2. Share your story ... What were you able to identify as your passion last week? What wrecks you? (7-10 min)
3. Read Romans 12:6-8
4. Discuss these questions with your group. (20-45 min)
Looking back at your notes from this week's message, was there anything you heard for the first time, stuck with you, challenged or confused you?
Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. (Romans 12:6-8)
What is the difference, if any, between natural abilities and spiritual gifts? How does God use them both?
If you are a believer, which of the spiritual gifts in Romans 12 has been given to you? (Faith, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contributing, Leading, Showing Mercy)
How would the passion you've identified last week energize the ways you express your gifting?
PLAN OF ACTION
When you bring your passion and gifting together, what seems like the most obvious purpose for your life? What would other believers (who know you well) say about your conclusion?
What is the one important thing you will take away from this weekend's message or our community group discussion? Is there any challenge, difficulty or praise that you would like to share with the group for prayer?
Message Notes
You can add your own personal sermon notes along the way. When you're finished, you'll be able to email or download your notes.
