GROUP DISCUSSION
1. Open with prayer. (2-5 min)
2. Share your story ... What are some of your "giants"? Are they holding you back or pushing your forward? Fill us in on how all that is going. (7-10 min)
3. Read Galatians 1:11-24
4. Discuss these questions with your group. (20-45 min)

Looking back at your notes from this week's message, was there anything you heard for the first time, stuck with you, challenged or confused you?

For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. (Galatians 1:13)

What did Paul regret? If you could go back in time and make a different decision than one you did, which choice would it be?

How might your life be altered if you had made that different decision?

But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles ... (Galatians 1:15-16)

Give some examples of bad decisions in the Bible that God redeemed.

Give one or two of your own.

They only were hearing it said, "He who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy." And they glorified God because of me. (Galatians 1:23-24)

If the current giant in your life propelled you toward your purpose, what would cause people to look at that and say, "Wow, God is good."?

PLAN OF ACTION
Clearly identify one of the giants in your life and write it down on a piece of paper. After that sentence, write the words, "But God ..." and then describe how God might redeem that giant and use it to advance His Kingdom.

What is the one important thing you will take away from this weekend's message or our community group discussion? Is there any challenge, difficulty or praise that you would like to share with the group for prayer?
