Hello Crossroads,
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone is doing well this week, finding some rest during this holiday week as we celebrate the goodness of God. A few years ago, one of our past worship leaders, Billy Sprague, wrote a song called, To Be Grateful. The lyrics are beautiful. One of the verses…
In highs and lows
Whether joy comes or goes
Lord, let it shape my soul
To be grateful For friends so rare,
When it rains despair,
And even near death to dare
To be grateful
A great reminder for this week.
CHRISTMAS EVE
With December 25 less than a month away, we are excitedly making plans for Christmas Under the Stars. What is Christmas Under the Stars, you ask? It is going to be an old-fashioned Christmas Eve Service where we are going to gather around the Christmas tree singing carols, listening to the account of Jesus' birth, and lighting candles…. All OUTDOORS! It is going to be a blast!!
@ Thornton 5pm and 7pm registration required.
@ Ft Lupton 6pm. No registration needed.
If standing outside, in the cold, with people isn't your thing (I'm looking at you Pastor Tim), we've got you covered! You can celebrate Christmas from the comfort of your own home, with our special Crossroadsabc.live Christmas Eve Service at 5pm, 7pm, 8pm and 11:30pm.
This has been a hard year for us all and we need a little hope. Come celebrate with us the hope we have in Jesus online or in person.
GIVING TUESDAY
Giving Tuesday, December 1, marks the beginning of this year's World Mission Offering at Crossroads Church. This is your opportunity to support critical mission opportunities above and beyond your regular giving. This year, our goal of $30,000 will support:
- Enduring Love, which resources Arab missionaries reaching Muslims in closed countries. Amal and Rasha are the specific missionaries we are supporting and they are reaching Muslims (even former ISIS fighters) in the hill country of Lebanon,
- A female doctor specializing in women's needs at the clinic we helped build in Mali, West Africa.
- And finally, Cold Weather Care here locally.
You can give all throughout December up to Christmas Eve, join us now! The first $5,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar! Find out more and here is how you can donate: Give online and select Giving Type: World Mission Offering. Or you can send a check to our Northglelnn Office and note: World Mission Offering.
VOLUNTEERS
We have two awesome opportunities for you to serve in bringing about Kingdom impact.
Family Ministry: We are excited as we prepare to open up preschool and nursery classes in addition to the already open elementary classes during Worship Services in December! Crossroads Kids volunteers are a team of fun-loving and crazy creative people seeking to partner with parents in connecting kids in our communities with Jesus and the life of adventure we find in Him. In family ministry, our goal is to partner with parents in helping kids meet Jesus, know Jesus, serve Jesus, and share Jesus! If you are looking to expand your Kingdom impact in the lives of the next generation, we are looking for YOU! We have volunteer positions available from caring for infants while parents worship, to dancing and crafting with preschoolers, to leading worship and teaching grade schoolers about Jesus! For more info or to apply as a volunteer, contact .
Innovation: In the last year here at Crossroads we have created a new area of ministry that is called Innovation. Led by Pastor Jared, this team is hard at work creating and developing new ways for all of us to engage and share the Gospel through digital content. This new area of ministry opens up a variety of new and exciting ways for you to serve your church on our digital media platform. If you have an eye for videography or photography, we would love for you to join our weekend broadcast team, or participate in larger cinematic shoots. We are more than happy to spend time training you and helping to develop your skills. Perhaps running a camera does not excite you, but engaging with online viewers feels like a better fit. In that case, join our online chat and prayer team. Interact with viewers from all over the world through our Crossroads LIVE platform. To learn more about opportunities to serve our Innovation ministry, please contact Pastor Jared at .
