MY STORY | Starting Place
If you were given the choice as to how (not when) your life would end, what would you choose?

DIGGING DEEPER | Practical Biblical Application
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil... (Hebrews 2:14)

Why is it important, especially when it comes to our redemption, that Jesus was fully human? Why is it necessary for the Savior of humankind be a sinless human being?

How did Satan obtain the power of death? What does he do with that power?

GROWING TOGETHER | Spiritual Friendship
...and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. (Hebrews 2:15)

What causes some people to afraid of death? What is your primary concerns when it comes to dying?

What difference does it make, throughout a lifetime, to be delivered from the fear of dying?

MOVING OUTWARD | Faith in Action
Identify someone in your life who seems especially fearful, and give him or her the gift of your compassionate presence. If the opportunity presents itself, remind that person of God’s offer of redemption and deliverance from the fear of death (or whatever else is holding them back).

Looking back at your notes from this week’s message, was there anything you heard for the first time, stuck with you, challenged or confused you?

What is the one important thing you will take away from this weekend’s message or our community group discussion? Is there any challenge, difficulty or praise that you would like to share with the group for prayer?
