This weekend, we start a brand new sermon series called, No Silver Bullets. In our microwaved world, we have been conditioned to expect instant results. We are trained to look for the quick fix. It's our hidden addiction. And admittedly, it has found its way into our faith journey, into our relationship with God. When we open the pages of Scripture it's evident that God wants us to have big faith, where we are growing in our spiritual lives, and to place our confidence in Him. We think … if there was only a way to microwave this faith thing… if there was a silver bullet to spiritual growth, we'd be all over it. But what if there are no silver bullets, what then? We begin to answer that question this week!
GROWTHTRACKS
We are excited to launch GROWTHTRACKS! What are GROWTHTRACKS you ask? Great question. GROWTHTRACKS are simple "plans" we have created to help you make purposeful progress to grow spiritually and understand where you fit into God's story. They are designed literally as the "tracks'' for your own growth and your progress through learning about Jesus, God's story, and some of the key "mega-themes" of the Bible.
To help you in this process, we would love to provide you with a guide as you walk out your path! A guide is simply a mature Christian within our church we have equipped to walk with people in this discovery process. Their purpose is to simply check in with you every couple weeks to see how you're doing, help with questions that come up, and be a prayer support for you. No pressure, just a friend in your corner!
That's really what GROWTHTRACKS are: a path, a guide, and a journey of personal growth and discovery. Visit our website to learn more and follow the instructions to text in if you want to participate.
BAPTISMS ARE BACK!
We are so pumped! This weekend, we are celebrating our first baptism in almost a year! Brian is getting baptized and you will be able to see it and celebrate with him at the beginning of our services. You won't want to miss it!
Baptisms are the beautiful picture of an inward reality (salvation) demonstrated in an outward way. It is the story of the way God works in us! If you want to be baptized, we would love to come alongside you! You can fill out this form and you will be contacted by Doug Schmidt. He will walk you through what baptism is, the importance of sharing your faith story, and how we are doing baptisms in a safe way during this season.
